Military
Home of the Air Commandos since 1961, Hurlburt Field is located just 10 miles east of Navarre. It accomodates Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), the 1st Special Operations Wing (1SOW) and a number of other associate units.

Other military installations that call the Emerald Coast home include Eglin AFB, NAS Whiting Field and NAS Pensacola.
